Beatrice Adams went to be with her Lord and Savior on the morning of Saturday, August 5, 2017.  She was 90 years old.

Beatrice was born on March 20, 1927 in Jackson, Tennessee to the late Thomas and Geneva Martin.  She retired with 34 years in production from Service Rubber Company in Illinois.  Beatrice was a longtime member of the Community Outreach Church of God and Christ in East Moline, Illinois.  After moving to Warner Robins, she enjoyed being a member of Christian Fellowship Church under the direction of Bishop Harvey Bee. A woman of faith and the heart of the Adams family, Beatrice shaped their spirituality by her tireless Christian Example.  She loved all people and loved what God loves, and hated what he hates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Adams; and her children, Christiana Overton and Anthony Crisp.

Beatrice’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Barbara Johnson (James) of Warner Robins, Naomi Hudson of Carrollton, Texas, JoAnn Emerson (Darwin) of Des Moines, Iowa, Christopher Crisp of Silvis, Illinois, Barney Hudson of Davenport, Iowa, Pastor Thomas Crisp of Bettendorf, Iowa, and Nathaniel Hudson of Moline, Illinois; 42 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.  She lovingly raised nine of her children, five of her grandchildren, and two of her great-grandchildren to know who Jesus is and how to love Him.  Beatrice will always be remembered by her children as the best mother ever.

The Wake will be Thursday, August 10th from 6:00 p.m. until 7 :00 p.m. at Orr’s Mortuary, Rock Island.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 11th at Gaines Chapel AME Church in Rock in East Moline, Illinois with Pastor Larry Westbrook.  Following the service, Beatrice will be laid to rest in Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island Arsenal, Illinois next to her beloved husband.
