Dorothy Gales-Duff was born September 20, 1949 to Gurrie and Carrie Gales in Louisville, Mississippi. She graduated from Camille High School in Louisville, MS. Dorothy attended Mississippi Valley State University for 2 years. In addition, she also received specialized training in Louisville, KY for the Head start program. She attended Omaha Community College, in Omaha, Nebraska where she obtained her Associates Degree in Childhood education.
Dorothy married Richard Duff in June of 1990 in Omaha. She worked in the Omaha Public School District; the largest district in the State of Nebraska, where she taught Kindergarten, prior to her retirement.
Dorothy was a member of a Motorcycle Club and she loved music.
Those left to cherish her memories include 3 sisters, Mary Gales, Helen Gales and Sarah Bell; a brother, Lanton Gales; a host of additional relatives and friends and a very special loving, caring cousin, Lillie Clayborne.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandparents, and a sister, Lou Esther Williams.
