Juanita Grandberry was born April 23, 1938, in Eads, TN; she was the first daughter born to the union of Edgar Grandberry, Sr. and Arlene Gant Grandberry. Juanita married the love of her life, Ervie Donelson, on December 23, 1954, in Mississippi, their union was blessed with five sons who cherished her deeply. Juanita professed her hope in Christ at an early age and loved being in attendance with her Church Family.
Juanita’s greatest joys were cooking, baking and spending time with her family, she also enjoyed watching the cooking channel and movies, one of her favorite movies was Soul Food. Juanita had a smile that would light up a room and she always made you feel welcomed in her home.
Juanita Donelson peacefully departed this life, at home, on November 10, 2023. Those left to cherish her memory include sons; Ervie Jr., Ray (Andrea), Glen, Harvey (Jennifer) of Rock Island, Robert (Lisa) Donelson of Moline; brothers, Sam Grandberry, Rock Island, Ricky Grandberry, Memphis, TN; sisters, Annie Mae (Thomas) Hester, Detroit, MI, Georgia Grandberry (Howard) Rock Island, Arlene Moore, Drummond, TN; 10 Grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; 2 special nieces, Brittney Nettles and Cynthia (Larry) Hughes; a sister-in-law, Shirley Grandberry and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband (Ervie); brothers, Leon, Clerone, Edgar Jr., and James (Pete) Grandberry; sister, Emma Jean Cunningham.
