Pioneering black physician, Dr. John T. Johnson, Sr., of Davenport, Iowa, passed away, peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, September 8, 2019. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 11, 2019, from 5pm until 8pm at Orr’s Mortuary, 1326 4th Avenue, Rock Island, IL. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 12, 2019, at 11am with visitation one hour prior, at Gospel Mission Temple, 5074 N. Pine St., Davenport, Iowa.
