Edward Williams Obituary
Funeral services for Edward L. Williams, Sr., 86, of Davenport will be 11:00 a.m. Monday at Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, 1020 North Ripley Street, Davenport. He departed this life on Monday, October 29 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Monday until service time at the church.
Orr’s Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born June 27, 1932 in Iowa City the son of Edward L. and Margret (Clark) Williams.
Edward served in the US Airforce. He married Macie Flint on December 11, 1978. He was an electrician at the Rock Island Arsenal for 35 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by daughters, Tonya Daniels, Davenport, Karen Walters and Annetta Fisk both of Caster, WY; sons, DeWayne Daniels, Davenport, Edward L., Jr., Des Moines and Fletcher (Carlton) Williams, Davenport; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Renee.
