Memorial Services for Mr. Elrata Bradd, affectionately known as "Bradd" will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11 am. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Moline IL with the Reverend Dr. Melvin L. Grimes officiating.
Elrata Bradd of 1735 West 37th Street, Davenport IA, was born November 14, 1928 in Summerville, TN. He was the son of the late Reverend Scott and Martha Bradd.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean war receiving a honorable discharge.
He retired from the United States Postal Service in Chicago after 40 years. He then became a driver for Neal's Bus Company and Gatling's Charter service, both in Chicago.
Mr. Bradd was a resident of the Quad-Cities for 20 years, after living in Peoria for 2 years. Prior to this he lived in Chicago, IL.
He enjoyed working on cars and fixing anything that needed to be repaired.
Mr. Bradd is survived by his longtime companion of 22 years, Diane Hilliard; 3 daughters, Lisa Bradd, Gina Bradd and Eileen Bradd all of Chicago . Also the ones he called his children; Anthony (Tony) Manley, Carla Manley, and Rhonda (Tyron) Vesey, Tasha (Brian) McGee, all of Davenport. Brother, Mayola Bradd of Southfied, MI. 7 Grand children and 7 great grand children, whom he loved dearly; a host of nieces, nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, 4 brothers and only son, Adrian Bradd.
