Obituary

Annetta Yvonne Daniels “Jackie”, 75, of Rock Island departed this life on January 13, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by her family.

There will be no visitation or funeral service because of COVID.  A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held in March 2022.

Jackie was the first-born child of William and Josephine (Williams) Jackson. She was born January 8, 1947 in Booneville, Missouri.  As a military brat, she traveled the world, graduating from Tooele High School in Tooele, Utah, and received her nursing degree from Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1968. Jackie valued helping people and worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. 

She married Harold Daniels in Joliet, Illinois in 1973. She gave birth to twins Michael and Michelle Daniels on March 2, 1975, her most valued gift.

 Jackie was a member of Second Baptist Church, Rock Island, where she sang in the Ultimate Sounds. She loved singing, cooking, writing, gardening, and shopping. She loved spending time with her family and had a very close relationship with her siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael J. Daniels, East Moline, IL; daughter, Michelle Y. Daniels, Rock Island, IL; Siblings: Hazel (James) Lewis, Springfield, IL, Dianna (Bob) Pendergrass, Roberta “Bobbie” Stegall, William R.  (Blanche) Jackson, Jr., Mark E. Jackson, all of Rock Island, IL; and Pamela Tatum, East Moline, IL; Nieces and Nephews: James Lewis, Chicago, IL, David (Sarah) Stegall, Rock Island, Pam (Robert) Frazier and Matthew Lewis, both of Springfield, IL, Kendall (Elroy) Norris, Shorewood, IL, Mark Devon Jackson, Moline, IL, Arthur Williams, East Moline, IL, NaCole (Thompson) Idowu, Rock Island, Tyler Williams, Dubuque, IA, and Brandy Jackson, Rochester Hills, MI; 18 great nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece (Leila), extended family members (Leenet Bannister-Brown, South Bend, IN, and Doreen Jackson, Bettendorf, IA), cousins and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Paul L. Jackson, and husband, Harold D. Daniels.
