Barbara Dean was born on May 16, 1937, in Hannibal, Mo. She was united in holy matrimony to Willis Dean and through this union were born Janice, Willis, Lawrence, Michael and Michelle Dean.

With a willing heart, she served her community, working for a host of community organizations and serving in a social worker capacity for over 40 years. In her later years, she worked for CASI as a Senior Advocate.
