Beatrice Jones, 80, of Davenport, departed this life on March 29, 2017 at her home. Funeral service will be 11 am Monday at Bethel AME Church, Davenport, IA. Burial will be on the Rock Island Arsenal with military rites performed by the US  Army Honor Guard and the American Legion Post 26.

Visitation will be 9:30 am to 11 am Monday  at the Church.

She was born October 3, 1936 to George E. and Mary (Powell) Milhouse in Orrville, Alabama. She was a member of Bethel AME Church.

She served in the US Army where she earned  an honorable discharge.

She enjoyed spending time with family, shopping, and crocheting.

Beatrice was employed with Kartridge Pak (RA Jones) from March 1974 to April 1992.

Survivors include her loving husband Remus Jones, daughter Patrice (Edward) Smith, Atlanta, Georgia; sons, Gary D. (Sally) West, Davenport, Kelvin Summage, Atlanta, Georgia, Billy Ray Lacy, Davenport ; sisters Ernestine L. Milhouse, Davenport, and Imojean (Andrew) Johnson, Davenport; 5 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Georgia Green, who passed away on July 4, 2016.
