Bobby Joe Hickman, 64, of Rock Island departed this life on Tuesday, April 21 at Trinity Medical Center, Rock Island. 

Private services will be held at Orr’s Mortuary with Pastor Willie E. Jones Officiating.  Private burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery.   

Bobby was born June 24, 1955 in Louisville, MS the son of Louis and Rosie Lee (McDuffy) Hickman.  He retired from French & Hecht where he was employed as an assembly worker.  He was a member of People’s Baptist Church.  He married Rochelle Jones on August 4, 2016 at People’s Baptist Church, Rock Island. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Louis and Clifton Hickman.

He is survived by his wife, Rochelle R. Bernal-Hickman; daughter, Joslyn Hickman;  sons, Carl and Robert Hickman; sisters, Helen Chamberlin, Demetra Hornesburger, Wanda Faye Bates, Rosie Jean Earby, Rosetta Hickman and  Joyce Chamberlin; brothers, Odell, Charles, Johnny and Calvin Hickman; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
