Connie Moore Obituary

Constance (Connie) Olivia Moore, 65, of Davenport, IA passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Progressive Baptist Church, Davenport, IA. Visitation will be held Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the church.  Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Connie was born September 17, 1955 to Johnny and Florence Coleman in Richmond, Virginia. She married Pastor Stanley Moore in 1996. They moved to Davenport, IA in 2005 to become Pastor and First Lady of Progressive Baptist Church. First Lady Moore was a devoted and spirit-filled woman of God. She was instrumental in re-organizing the Women’s Ministry with the goal of promoting spiritual growth in the women within the church and providing serve projects to various community organizations.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband, Pastor Stanley Moore; her children Gregory (Monica) Coleman, Jeffery Coleman, Suzana (Roshun) Little, Kelton Moore, Evin Moore, and Sebastian Moore; Siblings Nancy Daniels, Tony Allen, Lester Hansard, Juanita Coleman, James Coleman; 6 grandchildren, and the entire Progressive church family. Connie was preceded in death by her parent. Memorials in Connie’s memory may be made to the family.
