A memorial service for David Lyvon Reed, 57, will be held 1 p.m. Monday at Orr’s Mortuary, Rock Island. Mr. Reed departed this life on Wednesday at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg. Burial will be at a later date.
He was born October 20, 1958 in Battle Creek, MI the son of Sam and Mildred (Brooks) Reed.
David enjoyed fishing, cooking, cards, Western movies. He loved working on cards, painting and drawing.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include daughters, Shounda Reed and Slyvon Reed, Galesburg; sons, Lyvon A. Pearl and Anthony L. Reed, Galesburg. sisters.
Linda Pulley Holland, Faye Shivers, Davenport and Brenda Hunter; brother, Gale Gilmore, Davenport; 16 grandchildren.
