Dorlette Doll Babers Obituary

Dorlette (Doll) Babers, 59, passed away on December 2, 2014.

 

Born on September 28, 1955, in Rock Island, Illinois and was a lifelong area resident of Rock Island, Illinois. She was the daughter of Dan Babers, II and Pastor Minnie Babers.

She is survived by one brother, Dan Babers, III; two daughters, Tyla (Thomas) Cole, Nichol Rolle; niece, Angela (Babers) Smith, nephews, Danny Robinson, Dewitt (Ford) Babers, Jacob Babers, Deon Babers, Richard (Roden) Babers, two grandchildren, two great grandchild; and several fond aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

She is preceded in death by grandparents, John Henry and Minnie Nicholson, Dan and Bell Babers and brother, Dewitt.

 

Dorlette was a member of Pentecostal Church of God in Davenport, Iowa. She loved The Lord, was an avid reader, Sunday School teacher and enjoyed crocheting.

 

Dorlette's family thanks her friends at St. Anthony's in Rock Island, and gives a special thanks to the amazing medical staff at the UnityPoint Health Trinity, Rock Island 4th floor.

 

Friends welcome from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Friday, Dec, 5, at Orr’s Mortuary, 1326 4th Avenue, Rock Island. Family and friends are invited to the burial immediately following at Fairmount Cemetery & Crematory, Davenport.
