Dwight a. Bland, 71, passed away at home on Sunday, October 2, 2022.  Dwight was one of four children born to Thomas and Flora Bland.  He had nine children and then later married Denise Nelson on September 4, 1997.  He had several jobs and eventually retired as a supervisor at R.V. Hopkins Barrel Company.

Dwight was raised up in Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, Davenport, Dwight loved serving the Lord and held the position of Choir Director for 30 years.  In his spare time, he enjoyed listening to music, watching the games on TV, cooking, taking care of family and arguing with is grandson.
