Funeral services for Ernest McClendon, 88, of Davenport will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Orr’s Mortuary, 1326 4th Avenue., Rock Island. Burial will be at the RI National Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Orr’s.
He departed this life on October 9 at his home.
He was born on June 6, 1926 in Preston, MS the son of Richard and Minnie (Gailes) McClendon.
He retired from Caterpillar Tractor Co. He served in the Army during WWII overseas. He received a Bronze Star.
Survivors include his cousin, Lillie Clayborne, Davenport.
