Brother Ezra Nathaniel McDonald was born on June 5, 1944 to James and Gladys McDonald in Kemper County, MS. 

He attended school in Mississippi prior to moving to Davenport, Iowa in 1965. 

In 1995, Brother McDonald married Christeen Jones in an intimate service held at their home. 

Brother McDonald was employed at Wonder Bread prior to being forced into early retirement due to an unforeseen disability.   

Nate, as he was affectionately known loved to hunt, and occasionally fish.  He enjoyed horseback riding, baseball, his Cadillac and joking around with family and friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.    

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Christeen; daughter Melva (Trell) Everett, Davenport, IA; siblings James and Willie (Gloria) McDonald, Preston, MS, Martha (Kenny) Baltimore and Jerry (Debbie) McDonald, Rock Island, IL special niece Allie Scott, best friend Warren Tyson and a host of additional nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Dorothy and son James McDonald; sisters Aretha Kimmons, Eunice Ray Smith, Mary Jack, Dorothy Johnson and brothers Charlie, Wayne, and Esau McDonald.
