A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Orr’s Mortuary, Rock Island for George A. Harmon, 60, of Davenport.  He departed this life on Saturday, September 26.   Burial will be at a later date.  

Orr’s Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born March 20, 1955 in Shuqualak, MS the son of Charlie and Rosie L. (Nunn) Harmon.  He was employed as a truck driver at DeWitt Trucking Company. 

Survivors include a daughter, Amy Grumadas, East Moline; sisters, Betty S. Harmon and Clara Shorter, Davenport, Juanita Grady, Meridian, MS, Dallas Parks, Toomsuba, MS, Lillie Mae, East St. Louis, IL; brothers, Adell, Davenport, Larry, Shuqulak, MS, Mike, DeKalb, Ms, Tommy, Shuqulak, MS, Andy LA, Edgar Harmon, Barton, FL; three grandchildren.
