On January 25 Geraldine Scott went to Glory.  She was the youngest of four children born to Booker and Opal Cribbs in Davenport, IA.  Where she has resided for 85 years plus! 

Celebration of Life Services will be held Monday, February 1, 2016 at Third Missionary Baptist Church, 222 West 14th Street, Davenport, IA.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will immediately follow.  Officiated by Pastor Rogers Kirk, Jr.

She was a member of Third Missionary Baptist Church; while she was able she enjoyed the Lunch and Learn Bible lessons at noon with members.  She also enjoyed camping, bowling, loved the Chicago Bears and Iowa Hawkeye Football teams and her family. 

Gerry retired after 20 years in 1989 from Canteen Servicle at Alcoa; she was previously employed at Cribbs, Inc. with her Father and two brother as their secretary.  She married Odie Woods and had five children, Verna Woods, Cedar Rapids, IA, Louise Ewing, Marrietta, GA, Louis Woods, Janet Woods-Bragg and Melvin Woods all of Davenport, IA.  In 1968 she married Rufus Scott who raised all five children both preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories a brother, William (Sherry) (WC) Cribbs, Bettendorf, IA, Bonnie (Scott) Wallace, sister-in-law; all five retired children, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great gandchildren; a host of nieces, nephes and friends.

Orr’s Mortuary will be in charge of services.  Please no plants or flowers, make all donations to Quad City Kidney Center or to any immediate family member.
