Gerard Michael “Jerry” Parker, 67, passed away August 19, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Center of Davenport.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m.  Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at the Rock Island Arsenal.  Those wishing to attend should meet at Orr’s Mortuary, 1326 4th Avenue, Rock Island at 9:15 a.m.

Jerry was born March 18, 1948 in Davenport, the son of Cyril H. & K. Mercedes (Walloch) Parker.  He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1966.  He served in the US Army from 1967-1969 and served in Vietnam.

Jerry enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, playing cards, watching Westerns and his favorite channel “TVLand”.

He is survived by sons:  John P. (Stacey) Parker, Bettendorf, Timothy W. (Jennifer) Parker, Davenport; sisters, Mary Ann (Dennis) Hagemann and Sara Jane (Ronald) Lannan, Davenport; brothers, David Parker, Davenport, Richard (Maria) Parker, Eldridge and Dennis Parker, Nevada; brother-in-law Mark VanHoosier, Davenport; 5 grandchildren; Collin, Grace, Cole, Ava & Ella Parker; numerous nieces & nephews &  great nieces and nephews; and his life-long friend, Larry (Mona) Dickey, Davenport.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Patrick and Ronald and his sister, Nancy Jo.

In lieu of flowers, the Family requests memorials be made to the Beacon of Hope Hospice or the American Cancer Society in Jerry’s name.
