A memorial service for James Warren, Sr.  will be held on Monday 12:00 p.m. at Progressive Baptist Church, Davenport.

The family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until service time.

Orr’s Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born on August 30, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Rachel Ashby.  He was raised by his aunt Elsie Ashby Warren in the Eolia and Troy, MO area.

He married Gladys Faye Rudd in 1950, she preceded him in death in 1970.

He married Marcella McCann Miller in 1975.  She preceded him in death in August 2016.

He leaves to mourn him his son, James Warren, Jr., daughter, Linda (Gregory) Guy, granddaughter, Chanda (James) Robinson, grandsons, Tiano Trice and Derek Haynes, Sr.

He loved dearly his great grandchildren, Derek Haynes, Jr., Jordan Robinson, Brie Contreras, Julian Robinson, Devin Contreras, Tyresia Rodgers, Jenna Haynes, Annika  and Alontae Trice. 

He is also survived by his sister, Claudine Parker and nephew Sidney Blaine Parker, Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brenda Warren Trice and niece Nancy Parker.
