Joy “Lynn” Johnson 63, of Rock Island, IL peacefully transitioned to her eternal life on Tuesday, Oct 17, 2023; while at home surrounded by her loved ones. 

Lynn was born September 19, 1960, to the union of late James Lee and Joyce Lee Range Johnson. Lynn was an East Moline Native; Graduating from United Township in 1979.

Lynn Eventually moved to Minneapolis MN; where she found her passion in the field of health care; and remained just as passionate after returning to the Quad City area where she continued here selfless acts of kindness by volunteering her time at local shelters devotedly engaging with those who were experiencing homelessness and domestic Violence. Prior to her failing health Lynn had been employed as a Behavioral Health Technician with the Robert Young Center for the last 25yrs; where she was recognized for her true devotion towards the welfare and interest of others.

Her quick wit and infectious laugh will be missed by many.

She is survived by her Devoted Son Tremere Morney. Siblings; Dena Range Woods, James Johnson, Jerald “Poncho” Johnson and Devin Johnson; Grandchildren; Chris, Tremere, Tanacia, Kyree, Tre, Truvon Morney and Amelia and Jayden Leighty; Great grandchildren; Blayzen and Kyzen;  And her support team; Pamela Mitchell, Corey Smith, Pamela Morney-Teague and many others.

Donations made in lieu of flowers will be used to honor Lynn’s favorite cause.
