Lucy Gertrude Jones (Bryant) was born May 10, 1934 in Memphis, TN to Thomas and Dora Bryant. She married Jessie J. Jones Sr. on November 17, 1952.

Lucy made her transition on March 21, 2015. She loved the Lord and her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook, spend time with her loved ones, and always welcomed people with her smile.

Survivors include her husband, Jessie J. Jones Sr., sons, Jessie Jones Jr. and Jerry Jones, daughters, Melinda Jones, Gwendolyn Reid, Cynthia Jones, and Lesa (Yolandas) Dixon, a sister-in-law, Louise Bryant, all of Davenport, IA, a special niece, Patricia (James) Vaughn, Rock Island, IL, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of special friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, John Bryant and Emmitt Bryant, sisters, Clara Griffin, Maggie Campbell, and Dora Smith, grandson, Stanley Jackson, and great-grandson, Kingston Cedric Victor.
