Luella Atwater, 55, of Davenport died Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Genesis East Rusholme Street, Davenport.  Services in celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13 at Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church, 1440 West Third Street, Davenport, where her family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.  Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport.  Orr’s Mortuary, Rock Island is assisting her family with arrangements.

Luella was born in 1962 in Mississippi to Willie and Bennie Miller.  She married James Atwater in 2004 in Davenport.  She worked for the former Oscar Mayer for ten years and then in housekeeping with Genesis Medical Center.

Survivors include her husband James; daughters, Tameka Miller and Lena Johnson; and a sons, James Johnson and Frankie Miller Johnson. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sheri Miller and a son, Nelson Miller; a sister, LaJoyce Miller and a brother, Louis Johnson.
