Funeral services for Marjorie Jean Nicholson, 78, of Rock Island will be 11 am Saturday at Pentecostal Church of God, 1234 Ripley Street, Davenport with Evangelist Nichole Pettie, officiating.  She departed this life on Sunday at her home.   Burial will be Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island.
 

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the Church.  
 

Orr’s Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
 

She was born July 15, 1934 in Coffeeville, KS the daughter of Hesus and Fannie (Daniels) Pettie.  She married Allen Nicholson in Rock Island in 1965.  She was employed by Walker’s Royal, Rock Island Arsenal.  She was a member of Pentecostal Church of God. 
 

Survivors include her husband, daughters, Valerie Carr, Davenport, Gloria Smith, Indianapolis; sons, William and Greg Smith, Rock Island and Gerald (Jerry) Nicholson, Minneapolis; brother, Hesus Pettie, Nowata, OK; 11 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Sonya Thomas and Yvonne Nicholson, two sisters and six brothers.
