Martha Beatrice "Bea" (Barber) Marshall

Martha Beatrice "Bea" Marshall, 84, died Thursday, March 10, 2016, at Jersey Ridge Place.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Temple Baptist Church in Davenport. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, also at the church. Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island.

Bea was born on Sept. 21, 1931, in Clarksville, Mo., to Gabriel Barber Jr. and Mary Leora (Randall). She married James William Marshall Nov. 23, 1950, in Rock Island.

Survivors include her children, Vicki (James Alexander), Chicago, Phillip (Patricia), Milwaukee, Brian (Tamara), Davenport and Mary Lisa Owen (Ozie), Houston; sisters, Hazel, Davenport, Alice Jean and Jeanetta, both of Rock Island; brothers, Gabriel III and Albert, both of Rock Island; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and one brother.
