A memorial service will be held for Phyllis Jean Davis, 79, of Rock Island will be held at 1PM Friday at Second Baptist Church, Rock Island.  Burial will be at a later date.   She passed away on Saturday, October 17 at Trinity Unity Point, Rock Island. 

Orr’s Mortuary, Rock Island is assisting the family with arrangements.

Phyllis was born July 3, 1936 to Clarence and Marigold Young.  She married Roosevelt Davis (deceased).

Phyllis had a  love for church, cooking, meeting people and feeding anyone and everyone.  A great cook for various schools in the Chicago.  Also love of family and friends.  She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Rock Island.

She leaves to cherish her memory five daughters, Suzanne, Jacqueline, Brenda, Yvette and Dena; 14grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; four brothers, Tommie, Gregory, Kenton and Michael; sisters, Loretta, Helen, Bette, Sheilah and Christy and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Marcus, a daughter, Mary, her parents; one brother, Donald and one sister, Sharon.
