Quinton "Punkin" Lashea Donelson, 57, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020 at Mount Carmel St. Ann Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his family.
Quinton was born on January 4, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee and at a young age, he moved to the Quad Cities with his mother.
Quinton was baptized at the age of twelve at Pentecostal Church of God and accepted God (YAH) as his Lord and Savior. He had an enormous heart and loved his family, dancing, bar-b-que, watching sports, laughter, and to feed his neighborhood. As a self-driven entrepreneur, who completed truck driving school and he was never scared of a challenge or any new business adventure.
In Quinton's younger years he moved to Minneapolis, MN where he met and married Lisa Robertson. He eventually moved to Columbus, Ohio where he remained until his last days.
His is survived by his mother and father, Dorothy and Walter Hayslett, Davenport, IA his father and step-mother James and Sallie Benton, Memphis, his daughters, Janee Donelson, Denver, CO, Onicea Donelson, Detroit, MI, Mya Stephenson Zaneville, OH, his sons Jamil (Lisa-Alexis) Donelson andWalter Donelson Fort Lauderdale, FL, Joshua Donelson and Yosef Donelson of Columbus, OH. His grandchildren Jaylen Donelson, Houston TX and Alisa Donelson, Fort Lauderdale, FL his brothers Johnny Thomas and James Benton, Memphis, TN, Andre Rice Chicago, IL, Letrond Hayslett (Trina) Davenport, IA his sisters, Beverly Woods and Stephanie Hayslett, Davenport, IA, Tracey (Michael) Kyles Topeka, KS, Felicia Pegues and Brenda (Jeff) Taylor Memphis, TN, Sonya (Irving) Smith Gulfport, MS, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and fiancée, Elmitras Williams and her two sons Elijah and Isaiah Manning.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Sekeula Hayslett his brother, Michael Hayslett, and grandparents
Visitation will be Monday, June 15, 2020 at 10 a.m. and funeral services at 11 a.m. at Christ Apostolic Church, 1201 W. 6th Street, Davenport, IA.
