Reola Edwards Obituary
The Celebration of Life for Reola H. Edwards, 91, of Rock Island will be 11:00 a.m. Monday January 27, 2020 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, East Moline, IL.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Monday until service time at the church.
She was born December 27, 1928 in Carson Lake, AR the daughter of Elder Green and Annie Louise (Jones) Harris. She married C. B. Edwards in 1949 in Wilson, AR. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Community Outreach Worshop Center. She was a former member of the SCLC, Martin Luther King Active Club, Mother Prayer Group of the Quad Cities Churches. In her younger years she served as a Missionary, Purity Youth Leader, Young People Willing Worker Elect Lady and a Sunday School Teacher for more than 35 years. She volunteered at Trinity Hospital and the former Florence Aldridge Center.
Survivors include daughters, Linda White, JoAnn Edwards, Janice (Larry) Westbrook, Sharon and Donna Edwards; sons, C.B. Edwards, Jr., Ronald (Elizabeth), Raymond and Michael Edwards; 18 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
