Funeral services for Robert “Bob” William Harris, 93, of Rock Island will be 11:45 a.m. Tuesday at Olivet Baptist Church, Rock Island.  He departed this life on Monday, October 24.  Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at Olivet Baptist Church.  Masonic rites will be performed.

Additional visitation will be 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Church.

Orr’s Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

He was born February 27, 1924 in New Florence, MO the son of Vollie and Rosie (Johnson) Harris.

He  married Sarah Josephine Shelton.  She preceded him in death.

He retired from International Farmall.  He was a life long member of Olivet Baptist Church, he was a member of King Solomon, and Tri-City Consistory, he also was a Shriner and a life long  member of Marshall Brown Post #482. 

Survivors include daughters Carol (Ron) Jackson, Springfield, Linda Rummins, sons, Robert E, Davenport, Thomas W., Rock Island, Charles (Debbie), Memphis, TN and Anthony C (Susie) Harris, Jr., Bettendorf; sister, Annie (Kenneth) Byrd, McPherson, KS and Charles (Grace) Harris, Fort. Madison, IA; eighteen Grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were brothers Lyle and Don a sister, Patsy Redman.
