Rosie Johnson Obituary

Sister Rosie Mae Johnson was born October 5, 1940, in Somerville, TN.; the daughter of the late Joe Morrow and Rosie Lee (Bradd) Morrow. She moved to the Quad Cities in the early 50’s.

Sister Johnson has been a faithful member of the Third Missionary Baptist Church for over 6o years where she diligently served on the Usher Board.

Sister Johnson married A.B. Johnson. In September of 1974.

She worked for many years; at Jim’s Rib Haven and retired from Caterpillar as a machine operator.

Sister Johnson loved her family. Those left to cherish her memories include her daughter, Betty Givens; sons Richard Christian Jr., and John Christian; 14 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; a special niece, Mazie Morrow; and a host of additional family members and friends.    

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband A.B.; a daughter, Elaine Johnson; son Edward Christian; sisters Leola, Maybell and Dorothy; brothers, Eddie, J.B., L.C., James, Emanuel, Raymond and Robert.
