Funeral services for Shirley Mae Wilmington, 68, of Davenport will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ, Davenport with Elder Lysanias Broyles officiating and Pastor Cornelius Boone. Burial will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. She departed this life of Sunday at Genesis Medical Center East Campus.
Visitation will be Friday 5-7 p.m. at Orr’s Mortuary, 1326 4th Avenue, Rock Island.
She was born August 15, 1946 in Water Valley, MS the daughter of Albert and Lillie (Patterson) Brazelle. She married Johnnie Wilmington on March 2, 1964 in Water Valley. He preceded her in death on November 7, 2011. She was a member of Mt. Olive Church of God in Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Lynn Wilmington-Greer, Indianpolis, IN and Lisa Renae Wilmington, Davenport; sons, Johnny Earl, Davenport, Larry, Rock Island and Patrick Bernard Wilmington, Peoria. A sister Queen Wesley, Water Valley, MS; 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
