Funeral services for Wendell Jerome Young, 50 of Rock Island will 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Orr’s Mortuary, 1326 4th Avenue, Rock Island, IL.  Mr. Young departed this life on Wednesday at Regency Plaza, Rock Island.  Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. until service time Thursday at Orr’s Mortuary.
 

He was born March 11, 1963 in Osceola, AR the son of James, Sr. and Martha J. (Jefferson) Young.
He was employed as a chef and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
 

Survivors include nieces and nephew,  Dominique Amos, Amben Young, Reginald Amos, Katrina Amos, Kristina Amos, Daran Amos and Jamaria Cowe all of Las Vegas, NV. Aunts, Orangie Harris and Joyce Madison , Rock Island.  Sisters, Dietrich Amos, Las Vegas, NV, Sincee Williams, Duamene White and Isaiya Watamba,  Pomonia, CA.  Brothers, Derrick Young, Rock Island, Christopher Young, Clarmont, CA, Erin Young, Las Vegas, NV, James Young, Jr., and Traverse Young, Rock Island.
