Sister Willie Ann “Weebie” (Cooper) Riley, was born July 10, 1955in Louisville, MS., the daughter of Willie and Pearlie (King) Cooper.
The family later moved to Iowa, allowing Willie Ann the opportunity to graduate from Central High School.
Willie Ann was employed as a City Bus driver for MetroLink, retiring due to illness.
She loved playing bingo, and crafts, especially ceramics and making porcelain dolls, playing cards, watching the Sci-Fi Channel, shopping, and listening to her oldies but goodies. She came from a family that loved to cook, and making sweet potato pies was her specialty. After the transition of her mother, she adopted the task of making the famous Cooper egg pies.
After a two-year court ship, she united in marriage with the love of his life, J.B. Riley. The two shared an inseparable, beautiful life for 32 years before his recent transition.
Those left to cherish her memories include daughters; Latrinda (Rodney) Beason, Comonious Riley, and Marquinnette Holmes; a son, Robert Riley; sisters Diane Cooper (Narvie) and Connie Berka-Miller; brothers Walter (Tamara) Cooper and Reggie McGee-Cooper,14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of additional special family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.B.; sons Antonio Hopkins and Walter Riley, and daughter, Annie Pearl Jones.
