Cynthia Elizabeth Ivory, 67,  of Davenport, departed this life on May 5, 2017. Cynthia was born May 5, 1950 in Fort Madison, IA to Herman and Oneda (Clark) Murray.

Cynthia attended school in Fort Madison, IA and was a 1968 graduate of Fort Madison High School. After high school she was employed by the Iowa Ammunition Plant and with Dr. Harper in Fort Madison.

 

Cynthia moved to Davenport in the early 70's  where she was employed by John Deere from 1974-1983. After being laid off by John Deere, Cynthia enrolled into Scott Community College earning a degree in Computer Programming while working for Mid American Financial Services. At the time of her death Cynthia had been a full-time caregiver for her husband.

 

In her free time Cynthia enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, sewing, attending church, fishing and crossword puzzles.

 

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Marshall Ivory Davenport,Ia. Four sons; John (Shontay) Murray Columbia, MO, Chadwick (Beth) Murray Hilsboro, IL, Schlaan  (Olivia)Murray, Moline IL, Matthew Acosta, Ayer, MA. Eighteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Four sisters Rochelle Langley, Memphis TN, Dixie Bentley, South Carolina, Suella Poe, Seattle,WA and Karen Murray, Seattle, WA. Brother Carl Murray of Seattle, WA and a host of,nieces, nephews cousins and friends. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Oneda Murray and two brothers William and Edward Clark.
